A Family Affair

Owned and operated by Fred and his brother Ramin, the establishment reflects their shared passion for food and community. “We wanted to create a space where people from all backgrounds could come together and enjoy the best of both worlds,” Fred explains.

The Wahab brothers’ expertise shines through every dish. Fred and Ramin grew up immersed in the restaurant world. Their father owned multiple Kennedy Fried Chicken locations in Queens, giving them early exposure to the hard work and creativity required to succeed in the food industry. This upbringing laid the foundation for their future endeavors, and the brothers combined their experiences to create the unique fusion menu that defines Kebab Express.

What’s on the Menu?

The Kebab Express menu highlights the brothers’ creativity and commitment to tradition. Their kebabs are the star of the show, with options ranging from tender lamb and flavorful chicken kofta to their signature chaplee, a spiced chicken patty. Each kebab is perfectly grilled and can be paired with fragrant basmati rice, a crisp salad, or enjoyed on its own.

But the offerings don’t stop there. Kebab Express also features Afghan specialties like shirazi salad, a refreshing mix of tomatoes and cucumbers, and baklava, a sweet, flaky dessert that’s the perfect ending to any meal. “Our kebab plates are designed to be both affordable and customizable,” Fred shares. For example, a single chicken skewer starts at just $3.49, while a full plate with rice and salad is available for $7.99. Hungry diners can opt for a double portion at $9.99.
